Odynaut — Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Micah Faas ("Odynaut", "we", "us"), covering your use of the Odynaut trip-planning website and iOS app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Odynaut helps you plan trips, organize travel documents, and think through points-and-miles decisions. We offer a free plan and paid plans ("Plus" and "Pro"). We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Odynaut.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or upload content you don't have the rights to;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- resell or redistribute the Service, or abuse the AI features to generate prohibited content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Plans, billing & renewals
- Free plan is available at no cost, with usage limits described in the app.
- Paid plans (Plus, Pro, and any "Founding Lifetime" offer) are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, in US dollars. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (annual or monthly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Taxes. Prices exclude tax unless stated. Applicable sales tax / VAT is added at checkout where required.
- Managing your plan. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription anytime from the billing portal linked in your account.
- Purchases made through Apple. If you subscribe inside the iOS app, Apple processes the payment and its terms and refund rules apply to that purchase.
5. Cancellations & refunds
You can cancel anytime; your paid features continue until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Our refund terms are described in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
6. Travel, points & financial information is not advice
Important. Odynaut's transfer suggestions, award-cost estimates, lounge and benefit information, visa/entry notes, and AI-generated content are provided for general informational purposes only. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. They are not financial, legal, immigration, or professional travel advice. Loyalty programs, award availability, transfer ratios, fees, and entry requirements change frequently and vary by person. Always verify independently with the airline, hotel, card issuer, loyalty program, and official government sources before you transfer points, book, or travel. You are solely responsible for your travel and financial decisions.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the trips, documents, and other content you add. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content to operate the Service for you (for example, sending a note you write to our AI provider to generate a response, as described in our Privacy Policy). We do not sell your content and do not use it to train AI models.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, Supabase for hosting, Stripe for payments, Anthropic for AI features, and Google Places for location search). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information in it is accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Odynaut and Micah Faas will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or travel costs, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You can export or delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will update the "Last updated" date and surface a notice in the app for active accounts. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law in your place of residence.
